This project, for the development and phased implementation of a masterplan for the site was undertaken while at Knox and Markwell.
Phase one included the Wet Weather Centre (illustrated), a covered, multi-purpose activity space with a climbing wall and shower and toilet facilities serving the campsite and various outdoor activities.
The galvanised steel structure employs the principle of a three pin arch, with the dynamic expression of the structure enhanced through the use of tapered and curved steel sections. A large overhang provides useful shelter around the main activity area. The continuous rooflight along the ridge highlights the top pin of the arch..
